Clubhouse Closed for Painting
The BBH Clubhouse will be closed from Thursday February 23-Sunday February 26 for painting. This includes the restrooms. Please be aware that there will also be work done on the entrance gate, but homeowners can still access the common area. Please be safe and mindful of the painters. We appreciate your patience as we spruce up our clubhouse!
Home Improvement Requests
In an effort to preserve homeowners’ rights and maintain property values, it is required under Article 3.3 of the Bluebonnet Highlands Act of Restrictions that any homeowners, or group of owners, considering improvement(s) to their deeded property, submit a Home Improvement Request Form to the Homeowners Association Council for approval. This must be done PRIOR to initiating work on planned improvements. Examples of improvements include, but are not limited to, exterior paint, additions, outside buildings, fences, driveways, pools and decks. If any change is made that has not been approved, the Council has the right to require the homeowner to remove the improvement from his property.
The Home Improvement Request Form can be found on the Home page of the BBH website under "Forms."
Homeowners completing this form are asked to use the SAMPLE Home Improvement Request (found on the Home page of the BBH website under "BBH Information") as a guide. They are also encouraged to attend the HOA meeting following the submission of their form to allow for questions from the council.
Safety in BBH
Remember to ALWAYS call the Sheriff's Office if you feel that something is wrong or suspicious (225.389.5000) - they are willing to come out and investigate, even if it turns out to be nothing. Better safe than sorry!
Also remember the BBH Safety e-mail address: bbhsafe@hotmail.com. Use this e-mail address to alert the sheriffs that patrol BBH of any concerns that you have or to request special watch over your home while you are out of town.
Sidewalks on Bluebonnet
The pre-construction work on Bluebonnet is NOT an HOA project. We believe that this is the parish preparing to extend the sidewalks on Bluebonnet.
BBH Basketball Tournament
Save the date! Saturday March 31st, BBH will be hosting a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Teams will consist of 4 players - one of which must live in BBH. More information including how to sign up will be e-mailed out on Friday February 24th. Please use the box to the right to join the BBH e-mail list.
BBH Welcome Packet
During the summer of 2011, a committee was formed to create a welcome packet for BBH. Since then, packets have been delivered to new homeowners in BBH.
The BBH Welcome Packet is now available to all homeowners on the BBH website. It can be found on the right panel of the Home page under "BBH Information."
Lawn Reminder
Remember that lawns are to be kept up all year in BBH. Homeowners are asked to take some time to tidy up their yards. Starting on Monday February 27th, violation letters will be issued to messy yards. Thank you for helping keep property values up in BBH!
March HOA Meeting Date Announced
The Bluebonnet Highlands Homeowners Association will meet on Monday March 5th at 6pm in the clubhouse. All homeowners are invited to attend.
BBH Nanny, Babysitter and Pet-Sitter List
The Bluebonnet Highlands Homeowners Association is putting together a Nanny, Babysitter and Pet-Sitter List to be shared on the BBH website. It can be found on the right panel of the Home page under "BBH Information."
